What Inspires Me...
Growing up, my Italian mother and grandmother played a pivotal role in cultivating my eye for detail and love affair with fashion. The summers I spent in our hometown of Calabria ignited my senses and inspired me to dream big. My professional journey began on the glossy pages of Seventeen Magazine, traveled to the glamorous runways of Tommy Hilfiger and BCBG Max Azria, and culminated in the fabulous world of costume jewelry at Gerard Yosca. In my “spare time” I styled charity fashion shows, acted as a personal shopper, and gave fashion advice to friends, family, and sometimes strangers.
When I traded in my Prada for Pampers and left fashion to become a mother, I needed to reinvent my wardrobe. It was time to combine practicality with panache. I would throw on a scarf, bracelet, earrings, and these fabulously comfortable shoes called flats! Women started asking me where I shopped and questioned me about what would look good on them. Before I knew it I was calling old contacts, hosting a holiday party and sharing these incredible prices and pieces with my friends. Word spread quickly and before I knew it I launched Vicolo Mio only two months after giving birth to my second child.
In Italian, Vicolo Mio is loosely translated as my path. I encourage my clientele to follow their own path… set their own trends. I hope that I can be the must-have accessory on your journey.
“The best color in the whole world is the one that looks good on you.”
